ASSOCIATE SPOTLIGHT SERIES: AN INTERVIEW WITH TIFFANY SPRINGER-ASKEW

In our Associate Spotlight series, we are highlighting associates across the company who are shaping our community and who embody our Life at Centric philosophy every day.

Meet Tiffany Springer-Askew, Assistant Manager, Customer Service, based in Greensboro.

Building from the Ground Up
Tiffany joined Centric Brands in September 2021 with a background rooted in customer service and consumer products. Assigned as a Customer Service Coordinator for the Kids Division, she was brought on to support the new Pastourelle/Pippa & Julie brand, a girls’ dresswear line.

With a new brand, a new Sales team and a new industry all at once, Tiffany leaned into relationship-building from day one. She prioritized establishing strong rapport with her team and external partners, including key accounts like Dillard’s, Nordstrom, Saks and Bloomingdale’s, and found that the challenge of navigating it all at once sharpened her instincts in ways she hadn’t anticipated.

In 2022, she transitioned to supporting Under Armour, taking on higher-volume accounts including Kohl’s and off-price. The role gave her a broader view of the business, deepening her collaboration with Logistics, Operations, Compliance, Inventory and Warehouse teams. In 2023, she expanded further, contributing to the GAP Sam’s Club program. By 2024, her consistent growth and cross-functional contributions earned her a promotion to Assistant Manager.

The Lesson That Stuck
If there’s one throughline in Tiffany’s journey, it’s adaptability. Working across newly acquired brands, evolving systems and shifting priorities has reinforced for her that flexibility isn’t just a soft skill, it’s a professional necessity.

“Maintaining a flexible mindset and a willingness to embrace new challenges has been essential to navigating this dynamic environment”.

For Tiffany, staying open to change and proactive in learning hasn’t just helped her keep up, it’s allowed her to consistently show up for her teams and partners, even when things are constantly evolving.

Orchestrating from the Inside
Today, Tiffany manages account allocation for Sam’s Club, Costco, and Kohl’s for our Boardriders brands (which include Billabong, Quiksilver and Roxy), while also mentoring two team members. She describes her role as serving as the person behind the scenes, connecting cross-functional efforts to ensure seamless execution and on-time delivery.

What drives her most isn’t the complexity of the work, it’s the impact. Her detail-oriented, analytical approach ensures orders are executed precisely, from pricing and quantities to delivery timelines. She keeps a close eye on trends and potential roadblocks, addressing them before they become problems. It’s a quiet kind of leadership: one that shows up in accuracy, accountability and the kind of reliable results that keep the business moving.

Life Outside the Office
Away from work, Tiffany’s world revolves around her two children, Chancellor, a rising first grader, and Octavia, who just graduated from her preschool academy program. Both milestones, she’d be quick to tell you, feel just as big as any professional achievement. She’s an active presence in her son’s school community through the PTA Hospitality Committee, where she helps support teachers and foster connection among families.

When she gets a moment to herself, Tiffany turns to crafting and painting, creative outlets that let her imagination run freely and her mind fully rest.
